Sample ImageThe beautyfull archipelago of Tremiti Islands, is the only one along italian east coast. It is composed by three small islands (San Domino, San Nicola and Caprara) and many rocks, whose the bigger are known as Cretaccio and La Vecchia, this two great rocks explain because Tolomeo, who called this islands "Diomedee", in his book wrote about five small islands. The name "Diomedee" derived from the Homeric eroe Diomede, who, according to the legend, arrive there after the war of Troy escaping from his home, in Argo.
