Sample ImageIn the extreme end of Abruzzo's coast, Vasto is known for his history, its monuments (to see: Palazzo D'Avalos, with the civic museum, the cathedral, the churchs of Santa Maria Maggiore, Carmine, Sant'Antonio, S. Pietro). It's also known for tipical cooking.

The coast of Vasto is an attraction too, it's the largest of the region and particularly appreciated by turists. Vasto is surrounded by beautyfull coasts: on the south-est side you'll find Marina di Vasto, on the north side Santa Maria della Penna, and Punta Aderci (famous for its rocks).

In the zone of Vasto quite 40 hotels are ready to host you. Some farms, 8 campings, and a turistic harbour complete the touristic offer. The railway station of Vasto-San Salvo is closed to the sea. If you arrive by car, on the A14 Highway, the exits are Vasto Nord or Vasto Sud Montenero.
